I manage a retail framing shop in Inglewood, where I am responsible for ordering and cataloging art, materials and supplies. Also the main consultant for sales of art and framing at individual locations. Responsible for monthly store displays, inventory and account information, and for overall presentation of my store.
INGLEWOOD CUSTOM FRAMING
1995-1997
For two years I owned and managed a custom framing shop and gallery. I did art restoration and maintained my painting studio at this location. I attracted and maintained a large and devoted customer base. I was able to maintain a demanding schedule and be a producing artist at the same time.
BLACK SWAN GALLERY
1990-1992
Black Swan Gallery was a wildlife gallery carrying originals, limited edition prints, and sculpture in many mediums. We also handled a considerable amount of consignment and resale art. I was the manager in charge of ordering and cataloging all art and framing. I was also a retail sales associate, responsible for gallery offerings. I produced bi-monthly and semi-annual theme shows that were designed to bring in new customers and involve them in the business of collecting art.
FRAME IT YOUR SELF
1980-1990
I was manager of a large retail and wholesale company, a very commercial operation with a large volume of client work. We handled framing for individuals and many corporate and gallery accounts. I was responsible for scheduling, hiring and dismissal of employees. I supervised a staff of eight. I was the main sales consultant and then responsible for the completion and delivery of the art we contracted to frame. Some of our clients included publishing companies and major galleries. The Valley National Bank art collection was also entrusted to our care as services were needed.

I worked as a sales representative and picture framer, utilizing my knowledge of art supplies and painting technique to assist customers.
FINE ARTIST
1980 to CURRENT
My art has been displayed and sold in Galleries throughout the West. I have worked with gallery owners, directors and agents to create pieces that were suitable for their format. In addition to fine art I have done illustration (primarily for event programs).
I was a member of the Professional Picture Framers Association for ten years in Arizona. I was also a member of the Chamber of Commerce. I've had fifteen years experience as a manager, and close to twenty years experience as an artist and framer. I have been entrusted with the care of art from all levels, including museum pieces, original paintings, and heirlooms. I have continually added to my expertise by attending seminars and classes, and have been very active in attaining product information from manufacturers and distributors. I stay current with art trends and products by regularly attending gallery shows and functions and I read many publications.
