I have always been an artist. I can't remember a time that I wasn't drawing or painting. I think it helped that I had parents that were very supportive of the Arts. They always made sure that I had materials at hand.
I am primarily a Plein-aire Impressionist, but often find my style drifting towards contemporary color schemes and dynamic patterns. I think the strength behind a good piece is solid drawing skills and understanding color and light.
I detest gimmicks. A fact you will see easily in each of my pieces. It is more often said of my work that I am painterly and classic. My art is for pure aesthetic and without political statement . I find it easier to enjoy that way. To me, viewing a painting should be like a stroll through a peaceful garden or a well prepared meal with good friends. I want the viewer to feel welcome!
Thank you.
